Going Out: 101 Style

I admit that I always gravitate to the dresses and going-out fashion, when I visit a store or site. I favor fun pieces in simple palettes. The key to a great outfit, especially over 50, is to keep one of two style ideas, simple. That means that if you find a cute skirt with ruffles, or great pattern, then that's the first idea, building an outfit around it in neutral colors and solids, is the other second. You can reverse that with simple designs in great colors. I love wearing items like a sequined skirt or dress in a neutral color, or a velvet blouse over a denim skirt -- it can really give you that classic pulled-together look. I love these going-out style ideas! I think any of them would be perfect in a "two style ideas" outfit.
