This gorgeous home has great architecture, but was hidden by a casual neutral exterior color scheme and lack of details. My color design used a 'color block' scheme to enhance the width of the home, and give it more presence. Accents of hand-painted antique metallic at the base of the corbels tied in the ochre window details. The street-level use of a dark band of color for the wall, stairs, and garage, anchored the design.
This color scheme is a show-stopper, garnering positive attention and comments from passers-by.
90's Luxury Home Before & After
The fading beauty of a 1990s luxury home was revived with a fresh color scheme throughout the home, as part of a pre-sale makeover. Gray can be a difficult color for interior color schemes, as a blue-based grays can feel cold and can become dated quickly. Using a soft greige instead of gray, I gave this bathroom a warm and timeless contemporary style. A far cry from the original pink floral wall paper and dated tile.
Once the home was put on the market, it received multiple offers absorbing the makeover costs and realizing the homeowner's profit goal.
